What is koncero?
Koncero is a groupware application that uses DHTML to dynamically change client interfaces without refresh. Its primary purpose is to record ideas in distributed group meetings and to bring teams to consensus through idea generation and voting screens. It is built upon the ideas of abstract data items and modularized views.
Our ultimate goal is to support "Dynamic Collaboration", an ability for groups to work together on complex tasks without a preplanned agenda. To do this, we hope to (1) use consensus to make decisions about the process and the product (aka Participant Driven Group Support Systems), and (2) provide structure to individual participants so that the group can dramatically decrease the task transmissions required for complex group work.
Koncero is an open source (GPL v2) collaboration architecture originally developed by Prof. Conan Albrecht at Brigham Young University.
